As reported in many newspaper, radio, and television interviews and articles, the Mille's Italian Sausage concession is often the first and last stop of thousands of Fair-goers. Four generations of the Mille family have protected their secret-recipe for Italian sausage originally developed and refined by Italian immigrants Antonette and Amatore Mille. Mille's Italian Sausage, first introduced in 1932, is the longest-running food concession at the Wisconsin State Fair.
According to Amatore Mille, grandson of the founder, "For as long as I can remember, Fair-goers have asked if they can obtain Mille's Italian Sausage during the other fifty weeks of the year. We've always had to tell them it just isn't available.
